Tenby Schools Penang is an international school located in the Tanjung Bungah area of Penang Island, Malaysia. Set on an expansive, lush green campus with convenient access to beaches and the city center, the school was originally founded as a Malaysian private school in the 1980s, integrated its international division in 2007, and relocated to its current campus in 2011. The school operates a dual-stream system offering both British IGCSE curriculum and Malaysian National Curriculum, combining international education with local context. With a strong focus on modern technology education, the school opened “STEAM Engine” in 2024, a dedicated learning facility specializing in STEAM subjects that fosters creativity and practical skills.

Early Years is a kindergarten program where children ages 3-5 can enjoy learning. Through a play-based curriculum (IEYC), children develop emotional, social, and creative skills while building confidence. The trilingual environment of English, Chinese, and Malay allows children to grow naturally in a multicultural setting. Dedicated indoor and outdoor spaces with diverse activities support daily discovery and growth.

Primary School serves ages 5-11 (Years 1-6), combining the English National Curriculum (NCUK) with the skills-focused International Primary Curriculum (IPC). Under the Learning.First philosophy, students develop thinking skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities through STEAM-based inquiry projects and diverse subjects including literacy, mathematics, science, computing, music, and PE.

Secondary School supports students ages 11-16 (Years 7-11) in taking ownership of their learning and maximizing their potential. Built on the British National Curriculum with integrated STEAM education, students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Results show 90.2% achieved A*-C grades in the 2023-2024 iGCSE exams, with 100% A*-C achievement in Additional Mathematics, three Sciences, English, and History. Cross-curricular practical lessons connect learning to society, building confidence and motivation for the future.
