Fairview International School Johor

Fairview International School Johor Bahru is located in Bandar Dato’ Onn, Johor, Malaysia, surrounded by lush greenery in a peaceful environment. Since opening in 2008 with 25 students, the school has grown to over 350 students, becoming one of the leading international schools in the region. The school is an authorized IB World School for both PYP (Primary Years Programme) and MYP (Middle Years Programme), practicing education that fosters international perspectives and independence through inquiry-based learning.

Course Programs

Kindergarten

For ages 4-5, the kindergarten provides an environment that promotes inquiry-based learning in early childhood. With an emphasis on inquiry and experiential learning, the program aims to nurture self-expression, collaboration, and the joy of discovery. In a small-class, international setting, children can develop foundations in language, numeracy, and social skills from an early age.

Primary School

For ages 5-11, as an IB PYP authorized school, the curriculum develops not only grade-level subject knowledge but also “conceptual understanding, inquiry skills, and approaches to learning.” While English is the main language of instruction, second languages such as Mandarin and Malay are also offered, fostering a global perspective in a diverse cultural and linguistic environment.

Secondary School

For ages 11-17, the IB MYP provides education incorporating cross-curricular project-based learning and community service. Emphasizing skills such as independent thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration, the program focuses on building foundations for higher education and the next stage through inquiry-based learning and practical experiences.
