Sunway International School Johor

Sunway International School Sunway City Iskandar Puteri is located in “Sunway City Iskandar Puteri,” an integrated township near Johor Bahru in Johor, Malaysia. Established in 2017, this international school serves students from kindergarten through high school. The campus is situated in a lush, green integrated township and features state-of-the-art learning facilities, interactive classrooms that foster creativity and inquiry, and sports facilities in a vibrant atmosphere where a community of “learning” is nurtured daily as children think and act independently.
Based on the Canadian Ontario curriculum, the school introduces the International Baccalaureate (IB Diploma Programme and Career-related Programme) in upper grades, providing education that develops creative thinking and global perspectives.

Courses

Kindergarten

Using the Canadian Ontario curriculum, students develop essential early childhood skills including “literacy, numeracy,” “problem-solving,” and “21st-century skills” through play and inquiry.
A team of experienced teachers and assistants in small classes supports each child’s growth toward their “desired state.”

Primary School

Based on the Canadian Ontario elementary curriculum, the school emphasizes literacy, numeracy, global competence, 21st-century skills, and character education. Through a learner-centered approach, the school addresses individual learning needs while nurturing active citizens who contribute to their community and the world.

Secondary School

The Middle Years (Grades 6-10) develop inquiry-based and comprehensive thinking skills through the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP), while upper grades can choose internationally recognized university preparation programs such as the IB Diploma (IB DP) or IB Career-related Programme (IB CP).
With abundant in-school and extracurricular activities, STEAM, and leadership programs, the environment nurtures not only academic abilities but also personal and social skills.
